Eligibility: Only wine produced from grapes grown in California and commercially available for sale in Orange County (or available by internet sales to be delivered to Orange County) by July 1 of the Competition year.
Note: Commercial availability requires that the wine be readily available for sale to Orange County merchants or consumers on July 1 of the Competition year. The wine does not need to be physically present in Orange County for direct purchase at retail stores on that date to qualify; internet sales are acceptable.
All wines entered must meet BATF regulations and conform to applicable State of California laws regarding label terminology and designations.
Multiple entries of the same varietal should only be entered if there are distinct differences reflected on the label, for example: appellation, reserve, vintage vs. non-vintage, vineyard, etc
PLEASE ENTER ALL YOUR ELIGIBLE WINES – ENTRY IS FREE
Please submit six(6) 750 ml bottles or equivalent of each wine entered. Limited production wineries of 1,000 cases or less, may submit three (3) bottles.
Shipping Instructions: Please ship a copy of your entry form with the six/three 750 ml bottles of each wine. Early shipments are GREATLY appreciated.
Include four labels of each entry to be entered in our FREE label competition. The entry form and labels must read the same.
Ship all wines freight prepaid – no CODs will be accepted.
Mark all boxes on the outside “OCWS WINE COMPETITION”. If you are shipping more than one box, please mark all boxes “1 of 3”, “2 of 3”, “3 of 3”, etc. Please ship your wines as soon as possible. If a local distributor is used to deliver your wines, please make sure they are aware of the delivery deadlines. Pack your wines well.
